Fantastic Farmers!

In First Grade, we have been learning all about communities and community helpers. This week's helper is farmers!

Students completed a weeks worth of fun activities and learned tons about farmers!

Students were able to create their own pigs out of construction paper and paint.

They got to create their own corn and their own chicken with construction paper, tissue paper, paint, and markers.

After learning all about farmers for the week, we got to have a FUN FRIDAY! Students were able to do some centers.

The centers were: a dramatic play area where the students go to pretend to be farmers. They got to collect the eggs, feed the pigs, and even milk a cow! Another center was complete a craft - the students made themselves into a farmer and the last center was fun activities such as a word search about farmers.

The cow was made with construction paper and then I glue in to a cardboard box and used a plastic glove as the utters.

If you are interested in having a fun farm week, you can check out the unit I used here.

All you need is this unit, construction paper, and a box to make it happen!
